Bradford have handed a one year full-time contract to young utility back Vinny Finigan.

Finigan, 20, is studying at Leeds Metropolitan University but was invited to full-time training with the Bulls during the summer break and he has impressed with four tries in four games.

He said: “It’s great to have signed my first professional contract. It’s a great opportunity and I’ve been waiting for it for a long time – throughout four years at the club. My chance in the team has come as a surprise but I’ve put my all into it and the lads have all helped me out a lot so that’s big raps to them. They’ve made me welcome and I’m just happy to be here.”

Bulls Football Manager Stuart Duffy said: “Vinny has settled into the squad exceptionally well and we are delighted with the progress he has made.  This contract is a reward for the effort he has put in and will enable him to improve even further in a full time environment under Mick Potter.”
