Featherstone are set to unveil ambitious plans to redevelop the Bigfella’s Stadium, ahead of a likely push for a Super League licence in 2015.

Rovers, who earned the right to apply for Super League courtesy of their Grand Final appearance last season, declined to submit an application for the most recent process, a process which resulted in a licence being handed to Widnes.

However, the club has made no secret of its desire to play in the top flight, and the stadium plans will include two new seating stands, with the club also keen to implement the ideas of fans and other partners ahead of the changes.

Rovers Commercial Manager Paul Taylor said: “The plans to redevelop the Big Fella’s Stadium are fantastic and really exciting not only for Featherstone Rovers but also the town future. The stadium plans will provide a significant contribution to the regeneration of Featherstone and attract much needed investment from both the private and public sector.

“The purpose of the event is to engage with not only our loyal supporters but also residents and the local business community. To make the plans become reality we need the support and backing of everybody associated with the town of Featherstone.”

The presentation of the plans will start at 7:30 in the clubhouse with the main bar opening at 7pm.
