Catalans have re-signed French international centre Vincent Duport, less than a year after he left the club to join Toulouse.

Duport, 22, scored 11 tries in 40 appearances during his previous spell with the Dragons, but has established himself as one of the stand-out performers in the Championship this season.

Dragons CEO Christophe Jouffret said: “Vincent is a promising player who will improve a lot in the future. He is moreover a versatile player. We are very happy to welcome back him at the club.”

Duport added: “Playing in Super League has always been my main goal. My experience with Toulouse allowed me to establish myself as a centre in the starting team. I’m very happy to sign again for Catalans Dragons, the club who helped me to become a professional player. My goals will be to play as much as possible and to become a key player in the team.”

Toulouse are in their second season in the Championship after being added to the second tier for the beginning of the 2009 season.
