Hull KR forward Dean Hadley has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a dislocated thumb.

The 27-year-old left the field in the second half of the Robins’ 16-14 win over Featherstone on Sunday, and he is now set to spend the next three months on the treatment table.

Hull KR coach Tony Smith said: “We picked up another injury through Dean there, he has had a dislocation of the thumb that has come through the skin.

“It is a nasty one and he has gone off for a repair of that. We feel for him, we are hurt for him and our heart goes out to him.

“We will keep fighting as a group, we will stick together and the guys showed that spirit this week, they really have had it tough off the field.”
