Cunningham expecting changed Castleford

St Helens coach Keiron Cunningham is anticipating a very different Castleford side when his team travel to West Yorkshire on Sunday.

Cas were hammered last time out by Hull KR, who smashed them 58-16 at the Mend-a-Hose Jungle last Sunday.

But Cunningham is expecting Cas coach Daryl Powell to have worked some issues out ahead of the clash with Saints.

“Cas have just had a blip,” said the Saints coach.

“We all have them. Some things go against you, and everything Hull KR did probably came off and they scored plenty of tries.

“I’ve watched the game back, and, as good as Hull KR were, Cas probably weren’t the Cas side you’d have seen the week before, or the week before that.

“They’ve gone to Widnes and beaten Widnes convincingly, and then they’ve gone to Wigan and nearly won that game.

“So we know what Castleford side will be out there, and it will be completely different to what was there on Sunday.

“They’re a good side. They’re a well-coached, good side, that’s what Castleford are.

“If anybody can get a response out of the team, it’s Daryl Powell – he’s a very good coach.

“He’s an old hand at this game. They’ll be a different side on Sunday.”
