Catalans forward Mickael Goudemand will miss the start of the season due to a hand injury.

The 23-year-old has undergone surgery to an ongoing issue with his finger and he has been ruled out for 12 weeks.

Goudemand is expected to miss the first six games of the 2020 Super League season, where the Dragons face Huddersfield, Wakefield, Castleford, St Helens, Hull FC and Salford.

The back-rower made his debut for the Dragons in 2018 and helped them left the Challenge Cup at Wembley in the same season.

Goudemand made 20 appearances for Catalans last season and he has earned four caps for France.
