Burgess out for two months

South Sydney prop George Burgess is expected to miss at least the next eight games with a groin injury.

Burgess has been battling the problem for most of the season.

The England international had surgery on his groin last week.

Burgess will be sidelined for at least two months and is aiming for a return for the final six rounds of the NRL campaign.
