Doncaster forward Brett Ferres has been cleared to play after being found not guilty of a Grade F charge of intentional contact with a match official.

The ex-England international was hit with a Grade F charge earlier this week, which carries a ban of six games plus, as well as a fine.

Ferres, 37, was charged during Doncaster’s League 1 match with Dewsbury, with Liam Finn’s side claiming a 26-12 victory at home.

The Super League Grand Final winning forward joined Doncaster ahead of 2023 on a one-year deal following his departure from Featherstone. He has played nine games to date, scoring four tries.

He has since been found not guilty. The case was heard by an operational rules tribunal, initially on Tuesday evening and then resuming on Wednesday.

During the same fixture, Dewsbury outside-back Bradley Graham has been suspended for one match for a dangerous contact Grade C charge. Callum Turner was also fined £40.

St Helens team-mate and back-rower Curtis Sironen was also banned for one match for a Grade B dangerous contact charge.

Following his red card against Wigan at the DW Stadium, Zane Tetevano received a two-match ban.
