Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson has confirmed that Danny Brough will not be playing against Wigan this Thursday.

The Scotland star’s halfback partner, Luke Robinson, will be fit for the game, however.

Luke Robinson will be fit for Thursday along with a few other players,” Anderson told reporters.

Danny Brough isn’t ready yet so you won’t see him out there against Wigan.”

Huddersfield have beaten Wigan in both their clashes with them this season, but Anderson is refusing to become overconfident.

“It’s a totally different competition now,” he said.

“It’s all about winning and we know we are fully capable of winning the Grand Final.

“The key now is to really focus on yourself and to not worry about your opposition. If you go into this thinking too much about playing the champions then you make it an even bigger task.

“We’re a grounded group and will be focusing on what we can control to make sure we do a good job.

“I have no control over what people think of the Giants, all I can control is keeping the lads together.

“It doesn’t matter who your opposition is. You’ve got to beat some very good teams along the way. It’s the play-offs. You’ve got to crack on.”
