Castleford have confirmed that youngster Kieran Gill has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at the club.

The centre is returning to Cas after a short spell with Salford Red Devils, after being released from Castleford when he was 16.

“I have watched Castleford all my life,” he said.

“As a kid it was my ambition to play for the first team.

“Getting this opportunity here is amazing, and I will grab it with both hands and push myself to give my all to break into the first team.”

Tigers head of youth Peter Riding added: “It is great for the club to get a Castleford lad back at the Tigers. Kieran is a skilful player with a mature head on young shoulders, who I am delighted to give this opportunity to.

“Kieran will continue playing for the under 19s until the season finishes in September but his transition into the first team environment will start immediately I have no dought that training on a daily basis alongside some top players will help his development.

“Kieran has all the attributes needed to be a big success in the game, and I am looking forward to seeing him develop over the coming months and years.”
