Wolves favourites for Grand Final glory

Warrington have been installed as odds-on favourites by the bookmakers to win a first Super League title when they meet Wigan in the 2013 Grand Final at Old Trafford tomorrow (6.00pm).

William Hill have made the Wolves 4/5 favourite to win the title, after the club qualified for a second Grand Final in two years by beating defending champions Leeds and League Leaders’ Shield holders Huddersfield in the play-offs.

The bookmakers believe that the 2013 Grand Final will be a close one, however, as Sky Bet have Wigan at 6/5 to claim a third Super League title in their sixth Grand Final appearance.

The Warriors are looking to become the first club since St Helens in 2006, and only the third side in the Super League era, to complete a Challenge Cup and Super League title double.

Betfred have Warrington at evens to score the game’s first try but the bookmakers seem unsure of which player will be the first to touch down.

Sky Bet have Warrington’s Joel Monaghan at 6/1 to score the first try and Betfred list wing Monaghan as joint-favourite along with the season’s leading try-scorer Josh Charnley, also at 6/1.

Sam Tomkins, playing his final game for Wigan, is William Hill’s joint-favourite with Warrington’s Lee Briers to win the Harry Sunderland Trophy, whilst Matty Smith is 10/1 to complete a personal hat-trick after being awarded the Lance Todd Trophy and earning a place in the Super League Dream Team.
