Williams Could Leave Bulldogs

Williams comes off contract at the Bulldogs next season and is likely to be the target of many NRL teams as well as engage Super League clubs.

The Kiwi currently pulls in A$400,000 each year but the club may not be able to match offers from elsewhere when a new contract comes up for negotiation.

It is currently rumoured that the injury-hit player could be a target for Sydney Roosters who have already signed up Williams’ former team mates Braith Anasta and Nate Myles.

The Roosters are looking to rebuild their squad as they look to recover a place in the NRL finals series.

Williams has said that he would prefer to stay with Canterbury, but he is looking for the best deal to secure his family’s long-term future.

He has already missed out on the Kiwis’ Gillette Tri-Nations campaign, and is currently undergoing rehab to prepare him for next year’s NRL season.
