Wigan chasing Sam Hopkins

It has been revealed that Wigan Warriors have made a bid for Leigh’s Sam Hopkins.

Hopkins, 23, has been in impressive form this season scoring eight tries in 11 appearances.

Centurions managing director Andy Mazey broke the news on Twitter.

He said, “Leigh will meet to discuss two bids later, one of which I can confirm is Wigan.”

Former Leigh East prop Hopkins played against the Warriors in a Challenge Cup fixture earlier this year.
