Widnes confirm Tickle incident

Widnes Vikings have made an official statement relating to the incident involving back rower Danny Tickle.

Tickle is believed to have been assaulted in a nightclub in Ashton, and is now in hospital.

“The club can confirm that Danny Tickle was involved in an incident on Saturday evening that required hospital treatment,” the Vikings’ statement reads.

“Danny is in a stable condition and the club have been advised that he will make a complete recovery.

“The club will be making no further comments on this matter at this stage.
