Halifax’s Wayne Reittie has signed a new one year contract with the club.

The winger signed the new deal ahead of their Co-operative Championship win against Dewsbury last night.

At the moment, Reittie is serving a four game suspension after being sent off for head-butting his former Batley teammate Gareth Moore last month.

The former Leeds junior is the latest of a number of players who have agreed new terms for 2013 and Head Coach Karl Harrison is pleased with his re-signing.

He said, “Wayne’s been going really well this year. He had a bit of a brain explosion at Batley, but that aside I’ve been very pleased with him.

“The sending off wasn’t a factor; the kid made a mistake like everyone does in life from time to time. He’ll learn from it and move on. I’m delighted he’s staying with us.”

The powerful winger scored seven tries in the 2011 season.
