Warrington confirm seven departures

Warrington have confirmed that seven first-team players, including Tyrone Roberts, will depart at the end of the season.

Roberts, 27, has taken up a clause in his contract to leave at the end of 2018, just one-year in to a three-year deal, in a move that was announced several months ago, with the Wolves having recruited Blake Austin as his replacement.

Also departing is Wakefield bound George King and former Leigh pair Mitch Brown and Bodene Thompson, who only arrived at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in July.

Former Wigan prop Dom Crosby, currently on loan at Leeds, will also depart, together with Ben Pomeroy, who rejoined Warrington earlier this year having left after a short spell last season.

Completing the list is youngster Taylor Prell, who has never made a first team appearance for the club.

A club statement said: “All at Warrington would like to thank each player for their contributions during their time at the club and wish them well for their futures in Rugby League and after.”
