Wane: We deserved to win

Wigan coach Shaun Wane says the Warriors weren’t at their best against Castleford but deserved to win.

Wigan moved into second spot on the ladder with the seven-point win at the Jungle last night.

“When we pulled the trigger we hurt them – we just didn’t do it enough,” Wane said.

“And we bombed a few chances. I think we’re at four of five out of 10, there’s miles of improvement in us.

“But I’m happy with that win. We weren’t at our best but we showed toughness.

“We played when we needed to play, Matty and George managed the game well.

“Cas’ are a good team, Daryl will be sick as a pig but I thought we deserved the win, and I don’t say that being arrogant.”
