Huddersfield sent a mesage to the rest of Super League with an emphatic 52-0 victory at Wakefield.

The Giants easily disposed of John Kear’s side with nine tries, former Wildcat Scott Grix grabbing a brace.

David Fa’alogo put the visitors ahead on five minutes, and they led 22-0 after 25 minutes following further scores from Paul Whatuira, Martin Aspinwall and Leroy Cudjoe.

Grix’s first try helped Nathan Brown’s side go in 32-0 up at half time, and they were in no mood for easing off after the break.

Further tries were added through Lee Gilmour, David Hodgson, Grix, Larne Patrick and Shaun Lunt to secure Huddersfield’s third win of the season.
