VIDEO: Gallen records another boxing win

Cronulla Sharks forward Paul Gallen has won his fifth professional boxing bout and wants to face Sonny Bill Williams next.

The Sharks, NSW and Australian star recorded a fourth-round TKO over Herman Ene-Purcell in Toowoomba. It was Gallen’s fifth pro fight as a heavyweight after he made his debut against Ene-Purcell in 2014.

Gallen, who wants to fight again later this year, is keen to face Williams in the ring.

“I’ve got great respect for Sonny. I would never go out there and disrespect him or call him out, but it’s been spoken about by a lot of people for a long, long time now and there is history between us,” he said.

“10-15 years of playing rugby league against each other, it’s a fight everyone wants to see so hopefully it can happen in the next year or so.”
