Toulouse have signed Wales international Ben Evans from London for the 2019 season.

The Bridgend-born front-rower helped the Broncos gain promotion to Super League via the Million Pound Game last season, and made 43 appearances in two seasons at the club.

Evans came through Warrington Wolves’ academy and stayed there until joining London ahead of 2017. He was part of Wales’ World Cup squads in 2013 and 2017, and also represented the Dragons in this autumn’s European Championships.

On signing for Toulouse, Evans said: “I am very excited to have this opportunity to join Toulouse.

“I cannot wait to experience life in France. Toulouse has a high quality team destined for Super League and it’s great for me to take part in this project. I hope to bring a lot to the team, so that we have a great season. ”

Olympique chairman Bernard Sarrazain added: “To bring in a player of Ben’s calibre is proof that our club is moving in the right direction.

“We are very pleased to welcome Ben to Toulouse.”
