Toronto Wolfpack TV producers Telegenic and In Touch productions have been stood down.

On Wednesday, the Canadian club confirmed it was their decision to pull TV coverage of their game against York this weekend as well as their home game with Leigh next month as they aim to cut costs.

Having already announced that games against Halifax, Rochdale and Barrow wouldn’t be televised due to clashes with Sky’s coverage of Catalans, the Wolfpack have clarified the situation.

In a statement released by Toronto, it read: “Toronto Wolfpack have taken the decision to stand down our broadcast and production for the scheduled games at Lamport Stadium against York City Knights (August 10) and Leigh Centurions (September 7).

“The Wolfpack have invested a significant amount of money in covering all costs for the production to date in 2019.

“This decision has been made to reduce costs in the lead up to our much anticipated Betfred Championship play-off campaign.”

As a result of Toronto cutting costs, Telegenic and In Touch productions, who have produced the Wolfpack’s matches this season on behalf of international broadcasters such as Sky Sports, have been stood down.
