Gigot to Toulon

Catalans and France full-back Tony Gigot could switch codes and join rugby union club Toulon. The Top 14 side have two long-term injuries, and according to the Midi Olympique, Gigot could be the man drafted in.

Pia and Villefranche go two in a row

Anthony Durand scored 16 points as Pia registered back-to-back wins by winning away at Lyon 28-12. Villefranche were 32-12 winners at home to Salon, who couldn’t follow up their opening day victory.

The 2019 Elite 2 Championship winners Baho picked up their first win of the season, defeating Entraigues 26-18. Newcomers Ille registered their first win in Elite 2, defeating Lescure 30-10. Carpentras, who had a bye in the first week, were 34-28 winners over Toulon.

Madani to Baho

Former Doncaster prop Karim Madani, 23, is expected to sign for Baho. He made four appearances in League 1 in 2018 and is expected to return to action with Baho, having previously played for Palau Broncos.
