The Final Hooter 2015 – Episode 2

Correspondent

Dave Parkinson is back with contributions from Adrian Jackson and Steve Manning. In a packed show we have a raft of rugby league voices.

The good, the bad and the ugly of rugby league makes its first appearance of the new season.

Dave flies through the first couple of rounds of Super League highlighting the round one clash between Widnes Vikings and Wigan Warriors and the round two game involving Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Hull Kingston Rovers and looks at the embryonic league table.

We return to Rugby League Street where Kieran Makin, Chris Stott, Rob Lee and Drew Darbyshire give their thoughts on the thorny issue of referees.

Dave and Adrian then discuss the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup with Adrian getting the thoughts of West Bank Bears coach Ricky Hughes and Dave speaking with Leigh Miners Rangers Alan Coleman. We run through the third round ties.

At the Kingstone Press Championship launch we hear from Mark Aston (Sheffield Eagles) and John Kear (Batley Bulldogs) and Dave chats to RFL Chief Operating Officer Ralph Rimmer.

We review the opening night of the Kingstone Press Championship when Dave travelled to Dewsbury and hear from victorious coach Glenn Morrison and Rams star Anthony Thackeray while Gregg McNally tells us all about his new deal at Leigh and settling down in the town.

Adrian and Dave then mull over the ding-dong game at the LSV with contrasting thoughts from Bradford\’s Chev Walker and Leigh boss Paul Rowley.

We end the show with Australian rugby league royalty. Adrian Jackson speaks to super coach Wayne Bennett of the Brisbane Broncos about the World Club Challenge and NRL winning coach Michael Maguire from South Sydney gives his thoughts. Steve Manning also grabbed a brief, if interesting interview with Kangaroo international and Souths super star Greg Inglis.
