Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson paid tribute to teenage hooker Kruise Leeming who scored a try on his Giants debut at the weekend.

Leeming, 17, scored with virtually his first touch of the ball in the 34-12 defeat at home to Warrington on Sunday.

Anderson told the club’s official website: “That was just a dream. He didn’t have to earn that one, he just ran down the middle of the field and put hand on ball.

“He is over the moon and Kruise was a real positive to come out of today.”

Leeming, who was born in Swaziland and is a product of the Siddal amateur club, signed a three-year full-time contract back in March.
