Tansey and Mendeika avoid bans

Castleford’s Jordan Tansey and London’s James Mendeika have both avoided suspension following incidents at the weekend.

Tansey, 26, was cited for a high tackle during the Tigers’ defeat at Salford, but submitted an Early Guilty Plea in relation to the Grade A offence.

Broncos’ on-loan centre Mendeika was cleared of using his knees in a tackle during their win over St Helens.

He was found not guilty when he appeared in front of the RFL Disciplinary Committee via Skype on Tuesday evening.
