Swinton have signed Wigan forward Liam Paisley on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old has featured previously for Swinton on dual-registration, making seven appearances in 2017. He has also played one game for the Lions this year.

Paisley is a first team member of the Warriors first team, but has yet to make his debut. He is also an England Academy international.

Swinton head coach Stuart Littler is delighted to welcome Paisley back to Heywood Road for four weeks.

He said: “I’m delighted to confirm the signing of Liam Paisley.

“I would like to thank Wigan Warriors and in particular Matty Peet in allowing us to take Liam on a month’s loan.

“We are entering a pivotal stage within the season with a number of big games on the horizon. Liam is no stranger to the club, our fans or myself. Liam is a very likeable young man who has never given anything less than 100% for our club.

“I am delighted to be able to add a player of his quality into our squad and I am very excited with this signing. Thanks to everyone who has helped with this one. I am sure Liam will receive the welcome back he deserves from the Lions faithful on Sunday.”

Paisley is in contention to play for the Lions in their Championship clash against Barrow Raiders on Sunday.
