Sunday Social: Inglis’ Super League debut, Taylor talks England & ‘Big Ben’ does it again

It’s time for Love Rugby League’s Sunday Social, your alternative recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past seven days. 

Warrington’s Greg Inglis made a try-scoring, 80-minute debut as the Wolves came from behind to beat Hull KR 50-26 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Here are just some of the reasons why Super League fans are expecting big things from the 34-year-old former NRL and World Cup winner.

Jackson Hastings with a huge dummy to score the opening try in Thursday’s Super League clash between Wigan and Hull FC. The Warriors ran out 16-14 winners in a game overshadowed by allegations of racism made by visiting forward Andre Savelio.

Scott Taylor, 30, shared a funny anecdote about how he found out he would be making his first England appearance.

A moment that Wests Tigers debutant Zac Cini, 20, will never forget. The winger crossed just after half-time to help his side recover from 8-6 down to defeat St. George Illawarra Dragons in their round eight clash.

The break, the offload, the finish. How about this for a try from the New Zealand Warriors, finished off by former Warrington second-rower Ben Murdoch Masila. 

And finally, Parramatta’s Maika Sivo is on fire! The Eels flyer crossed twice to help his side triumph 32-10 over bottom of the league Canterbury Bulldogs.
