Strong defence the key for Sandercock

Hull KR Head Coach Craig Sandercock has identified his defence as the main area which may stand them in good stead for a victory against Catalan Dragons.

The Robins take on the Dragons tonight knowing that a win will keep them within touching distance of the illustrious top four.

Sandercock’s side have been the losers in the previous two meetings but the Hull KR boss is not looking at the past.

He said, “We’ve played them a couple of times this year and unfortunately weren’t quite good enough to get the win but we’ll turn up tonight and do the best we can.

“You could say that we were in a position to win both of those previous games but it wasn’t to be, that’s long gone and it’s all about what we do tonight.

“They have a massive forward pack and Dureau and Pryce have been on fire off the back of that. We need to limit the amount of metres that their big boys get and that way, hopefully their halves won’t have the kind of imprint on the game they have had recently.”

Rovers have been on good form of late, scoring a run of four straight wins.
