James Gordon

The annual State of Mind themed Super League round will take place in Round 20, featuring some mouth-watering games.

Warrington host Wigan and St Helens travel to Leeds for the televised fixtures on Thursday July 2 and Friday July 3, where theState of Mind team will be present to pass on their message during a themed round for the fourth successive season.

A bumper crowd is expected at the AJ Bell Stadium, where Salford take on Catalans, with Red Devils owner Dr Koukash promising free entry to all fans.

That game is one of four on Sunday July 5, which also includes Hull against Wakefield, Castleford versus Widnes and Hull KR’s trip to Huddersfield.

The message for this year’s State of Mind round is “What’s Theirs?”

State of Mind co-founder, Dr Phil Cooper, said: “Just chatting and spending time with someone can make the world ofdifference. It’s not about trying to fix people or trying to solve their problems for them. Often, it’s just about being there, showing you care and listening without making judgements.

“This year, State of Mind is focused on looking out for your mates, colleagues and family.

“So this State of Mind Round, how can you support someone you know?”

Last year’s themed round saw more than 5,500 mental fitness cards handed out to fans, with more than 4.3m people viewing mental fitness messages sent out through State of Mind’s player ambassadors.

One fan said: “It it was not for State of Mind, I would not be here today. I was looking for a piece of rope to hang myself and saw a State of Mind card I picked up last year. It made me stop and go and get help. You saved my life.”
