St Helens 12-24 Catalans

Catalans sealed a play-off spot with a surprise win over former coach Mick Potter’s St Helens side at Knowsley Road.

Dimitro Pelo gave the Dragons an early lead, before Tony Puletua levelled things up. Casey McGuire forced his way over before the interval to give the Dragons the advantage, and the French side cut loose in the second.

Olivier Elima and Clint Greenshields took advantage of some lacklustre defending to put the visitors 24-6 in front, and even a late try by Keiron Cunningham wasn’t enough to mount a comeback for Saints, who finish second in the table.
