Sonny Bill Williams is likely to play his first game for Toronto when they face Castleford in Michael Shenton’s testimonial match.

The Wolfpack face the Tigers at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on January 19, 2pm kick-off.

Marquee man Williams will be at the match, with him set to link up with his Wolfpack team-mates in the next few days.

The Wolfpack’s first game in Super League is against Castleford at Emerald Headingley Stadium on February 2. It will be part of a double-header that will see Leeds take on Hull FC in the second match.

Shenton has been granted a testimonial year in 2020. He has scored 169 tries in 368 appearances for Castleford and St Helens.

The 33-year-old earned 10 caps for England between 2008-14.
