Marquee man Gareth Widdop has arrived at Warrington.

The 30-year-old, who hails from Halifax, has joined the Wolves on a three-year contract and is the club’s second marquee signing, with his Great Britain international team-mate Blake Austin being the first.

Widdop and his family arrived in England on December 30 – but enjoyed his first training session with Steve Price’s side on Thursday.

Widdop scored 43 tries and kicked 415 goals in 196 NRL appearances for Melbourne Storm and St George Illawarra Dragons.

He has earned 28 caps for England since making his international debut in 2010 and played three games for Great Britain on their recent tour of the southern hemisphere.
