Smith looking For Wildcats to build on Hull KR performance

Brian Smith is looking for his players to continue to make progress in their home game with Widnes this weekend.

Trinity were unlucky to lose at Hull KR last weekend, with an underwhelming game ending 20-18 in favour of the Robins.

Smith is trusting the bullk of the same squad for the clash with the Vikings, and is looking for an overall improvement again.

“I haven’t made too many changes to the squad this week, apart from the errors the boys did put in a good performance against Hull KR,” he told the Wildcats’ official website.

“If we can play the way we did against Bradford and Widnes repeat the performance from last week it will be an interesting game. We need to maintain the defence and improve it a little, but we also need to improve our attack and be prepare to take opportunities when they come.”
