Simon Grix signs for Halifax

Warrington back rower Simon Grix will return to his hometown club in 2016, having inked a one-year deal with Halifax.

The 29-year-old has options for a second year, should things progress well.

Grix will combine playing for Fax with working on the coaching staff at the Wolves.

“Having someone like Simon in our organisation is a real positive. He’s a true leader on the field and an excellent professional off it,” said Halifax coach Richard Marshall.

“He had several other excellent options to consider but he has chosen to continue his career at Halifax RLFC which we are delighted about.”
