Shane Flanagan leaves the Roosters

The Sydney Roosters today confirmed Assistant Coach Shane Flanagan will be released from his role at the club at the completion of the current season.

Shane joined the Roosters in 2004 and guided the Roosters Jersey Flegg side to an undefeated premiership.

In 2005 he coached the Premier League side to a Grand Final appearance before being appointed as Ricky Stuart's NRL Assistant Coach in 2006.

Shane has contributed to the player development of many of the Roosters young recruits in his time at the club.
