Taylor told Hull Daily Mail: “When I signed for this club I had three goals. Win at Wembley, get rid of that song, play in the Grand Final and win a Grand Final with Hull and play for England as much as I can. I’ve still got two goals there and that’s what’s getting me out of bed in the morning. I’m 30, I’ve still got two years left on my deal and I’m going to give everything for my club.”

He told Sheffield Star: “I enjoy it, every job is different, meeting new people with different stories. Rugby doesn’t last forever, you have got to make that transition at some point and get a real job.”

New St Helens signings Curtis Sironen and Joey Lussick have arrived in the UK. The Australian pair will link up with their new team-mates for pre-season training shortly.

Back-rower Sironen, 28, has joined Saints on a two-year deal, with the option of a third. Hooker Lussick, 25, has signed a three-year deal with the Super League champions.
