Salford have signed RAF weapons technician Jordan Andrade to its first-team squad.

Andrade, who played for Oxford in League 1 briefly this year, has won a spot after trialing with the Red Devils.

Director of rugby Tim Sheens handed Andrade a trial during pre-season.

The Australian veteran spotted him during an inter-services game at the AJ Bell Stadium in July.

Andrade played in the 2013 Armed Forces World Cup. He has been given number 32 in Salford’s squad.

“Buzzing to have got a squad number with Salford Red Devils cannot wait for 2016 season!!,” Andrade tweeted.
