Salford boss Paul Rowley has provided the latest on Danny Addy after the Scotland international suffered a hamstring injury during the side’s 14-6 victory over Castleford.

The 32-year-old Scotland international featured from the bench during the Round Nine clash at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Addy was seen testing his hamstring on the sidelines during the break, but did not return to action in the second half as Shane Wright scored his side’s second try, with Brodie Croft crossing in the first half.

Marc Sneyd also converted both tries and a further penalty goal in the victory.

Castleford opened the scoring through Greg Eden just three minutes into the fixture, but were kept scoreless after.

Rowley confirmed the injury to Addy in his post-match press conference, expecting to know further details on Friday.

“He came off with a tight hamstring,” Rowley said.

“He was struggling with power and he did a test at half-time. I think tomorrow will tell us a little bit more on that.

“We got him off straight away, so hopefully it’s minimal damage. But like I said, we’ll see tomorrow.”

Addy has made four appearances in Super League so far this year, having missed the start of the season through injury.

He also missed Scotland’s World Cup campaign last year after suffering a season-ending injury last July.
