Salford avoid points deduction for extra man

Salford have avoided a points deduction after being found guilty of fielding 14 players during their win over Castleford.

The Reds were deemed to be in breach of three operational rules, and were fined £10,000 by an independent tribunal.

The incident occurred late in the game, when two players entered the field from the bench.

Salford won the game 34-30.
