Ryan Hall ruled out for four weeks

Leeds winger Ryan Hall will be out for four weeks with a hand injury, his club have confirmed.

He does not require surgery, however, and the hand will be in plaster instead. Had he undergone surgery, he would have been out for four months.

“It is a massive shame for Ryan and a big blow to us,” said Leeds coach Brian McDermott.

“But we have dealt with and handled injuries well in the past and I am sure this will only serve to provide an opening for another of our hungry and keen academy products that have a huge desire to play for Leeds Rhinos first team.

“Ryan will be out for four weeks. That is not enough time to get unfit but long enough to lose his sharpness if we don’t manage that time well.

“He will keep fit and strong under the supervision of Jason Davidson and I am sure this will be beneficial to Ryan in the long run given he did not have as long a pre-season as the rest of the group because of his commitments with England.
