Russell to pull on Titans shirt for first time

Former Wigan full-back Matty Russell is set to make his first appearance for Gold Coast Titans, when they take on New Zealand Warriors in a trial game on Saturday.

Russell, 19, moved Down Under on a two-year deal at the end of last season, having spent time on loan at Hull in 2012.

He made his Warriors debut in the 37-36 defeat to Widnes last March, scoring two tries, before making a further appearance against Salford, and then playing six times during his spell at the KC Stadium.

Fellow Titans Mark Ioane, Albert Kelly and Mark O’Dare will also make their unofficial club debuts after joining in the off-season.
