Rovers still on the hunt for signings despite setback

Chris Chester is still on the hunt for fresh faces at Hull Kingston Rovers despite setbacks due to a number of injuries and suspensions in his squad.

It has been revelead that Rovers have failed in their bid to sign ex-Canberra Raiders second rower Sami Sauiluma, with the move not being sanctioned, before the appeal to get the signing over the line being rejected last week.

With over seven first team stars on the treatment table so early into the new season, as well as John Boudebza’s controversial suspension, Chris Chester may need to dip into the loan market to give his Rovers squad a bit of depth.

Chris Chester can welcome back two stars, James Greenwood and Liam Salter, back into the fold for Sunday’s game with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the KC Lightstream Stadium.
