The Rugby League International Federation will block any attempt by Waynet Bennett to entice the Morris twins to play for England.

The Morris brothers and Trent Hodkinson have been linked to switching their allegience to England. Both of the Morris’ have already played for Australia.

But RLIF development chief Tas Baitieri has told The Courier-Mail that the Morris twins cannot play for England any under circumstances.

“Players from tier-one countries cannot move between each other,” Baitieri said.

“They can only move upwards or downwards (between tier one and tier-two nations).’’

Australia, New Zealand and England are rated tier-one nations under the rankings system with the likes of Samoa, France, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Fiji and Tonga tier-two nations.

Hodkinson has played for NSW, not the Kangaroos, and remains eligible for England.
