South Sydney have extended the contract of rookie halfback Adam Reynolds for a further two seasons.

Reynolds has made his mark on the NRL under the guidance of coach Michael Maguire, helping the Rabbitohs to third place in the ladder.

Reynolds will remain with the club until the end of the 2015.

“I’m really happy to have had my contract extended at the Rabbitohs. It means a lot to me to play for this club,” Reynolds said.

“I’m a South Sydney junior, I live in the area, I’m bringing up my kids here, and I love the cand everything it stands for.

“I’m really grateful to have been given the chance to play first grade this year and hopefully I can continue to play first grade at the Club for many more years to come.”

Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire, who took a gamble on Reynolds after the loss of Chris Sandow to Parramatta, says he’s delighted to keep Reynolds.

“Adam has continued to improve his game each week and has had a really strong year so far in his first season,” Maguire said.

“It’s great to be able to keep a local junior with such promise at the club, especially a man with a young family growing up in South Sydney.

“We’re looking forward to working with Adam and watching him further develop his game in the Rabbitohs jersey, as well as growing the Rabbitohs family.”
