Harlequins’ Chad Randall has put his name to another two–year deal. The 30-year-old hooker has spent six seasons with the club and is delighted to extend his stay in the capital.

“I’m very happy, I was never really going to leave,” he said. “My wife and kids are pretty happy here, we love London and the club’s great. They’re definitely looking to bolster the squad for next year, which is good, it’s an exciting time.

“Next year we’ll be looking to start pushing up the table. I feel we’re not that far off. With another pre-season and under the way Powelly (coach Rob Powell) wants us to play, hopefully we’ll be able to continue the run we had at the start of the season a bit longer.”

Rob Powell believes that Randall’s re-signing is important for the club. “Chad’s been a key player and leader in the group for a number of years. He’s a very highly regarded player within the competition and we’re happy to retain a player of his quality.”
