Radford not worried by injured trio

Hull coach Lee Radford is expecting injured trio Marc Sneyd, Mark Minichiello and Josh Bowden to be back next week.

All three are missing for their Super 8s opener against Salford, having picked up knocks in the Challenge Cup semi-final win over Leeds.

Radford told the club’s official website: “Hopefully they’re just one week injuries. They’re nothing too severe – just a couple of ankles and a whack to a knee but apart from that we’re pretty healthy.

“I don’t think we’ve got the luxury to make wholesale changes but those three, they’re genuinely not available for selection so it was a really easy decision to make in terms of selection to make those changes.”

Steve Michaels, Jordan Thompson and Jansin Turgut have been drafted in to Radford’s 19-man squad, with former Huddersfield utility Jake Connor expected to deputise at half-back and take over Sneyd’s kicking duties.
