Prince laments Titans’ attack

Gold Coast skipper Scott Prince said his side could have done more in attack to overcome St George at the weekend.

The Titans fell to a narrow 8-6 defeat at the hands of the Dragons in Wollongong, but Prince believes the visitors’ performance fell short.

“Both teams turned up defensively I thought and they had their fair share of possession on our line and we defended quite well,” Prince told the club’s official website.

“I thought our attack was off just a little bit, and we should have tested them a lot more with our attacking options.”

Meanwhile, coach John Cartwright agreed that the Titans were capable of winning what he labelled a ‘dour’ clash.

“There were a lot of moments in the game where we could have won it,” he said.

“It was a pretty dour game.”
