Championship action returns to Premier Sports this evening (Thursday) as Sheffield take on Halifax at Bramall Lane.

It will be the first time the Eagles have played at the home of Sheffield United this season, and they will be looking to maintain their 100% start to the league season.

Coach Mark Aston is without Tim Bergin (hip), but is looking for improvements on last weekend’s 58-8 win over amateurs Oulton Raiders in the Challenge Cup

He said: “It’s about hitting standards, and we didn’t as far as I’m concerned. I know now what my 17 will be on Thursday night.”

Michael Knowles, Alex Rowe and Dane McDonald could all be in contention after impressing against the Raiders.

Fax coach Karl Harrison is ready to reinstate Ryan Fieldhouse, Sean Penkywicz, Adam Robinson and Paul Handforth after resting the influential quartet last week.

Both sides are making their first appearance on Premier Sports, in what should be a thrilling encounter.
