Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell is keen to see more confidence and self-belief amongst his players, heading into 2016.

The Tigers have gathered to begin preseason this week, with a series of ‘strongman’ activities testing their mental resilience as well as boosting their physical fitness.

Powell is hopeful that his team can make the step up to actually winning silverware in 2016.

“We’ve been fourth and fifth and had a Challenge Cup final appearance, but we haven’t won anything yet,” he told Sky Sports.

“The next step for us is to feel like we can win something, to be confident we can do that, feel like we’re a winning team that’s capable of achieving something special.
