Parramatta confirm departure of Jai Field

Parramatta have confirmed the departure of Jai Field, who has been strongly linked with a move to Super League.

The 23-year-old half-back or full-back has been linked with a move to Wigan ahead of the 2021 season.

Field, who was also linked with Leeds earlier in the year, has made 17 first-grade appearances for St George Illawarra Dragons and the Eels.

Speaking in September, Wigan coach Adrian Lam told Wigan Today: “Jai Field would suit Super League with his speed.

“I’ve watched him growing up – I’ve always been a fan – and he’s someone who could fit into this club perfectly.”

Parramatta have also confirmed the departure of 10 more players from its NRL and development squads – David Gower, Peni Terepo, Kane Evans, Stefano Utiokamanu, Andrew Davey, Rhys Davies, Jaeman Salmon, Brad Takairangi, Watson Heleta and Kyle Schneider.
